Underdogs is a cultural platform based in Lisbon, Portugal, that encompasses a gallery with two exhibition areas, a public art programme, the production of artist editions, and the development of commissioned art projects.
Iminente is a wide-reaching platform based on a new concept of providing urban culture experiences, promoting the relationship between cities, their inhabitants and creative production, through festivals, concerts, pop-up events, exhibitions, art installations, urban interventions, performances and workshops.

Our Projects
MEO Kalorama - an invitation to fill the venue of this new music festival with art, through three different initiatives that involved several artists from the Underdogs universe.
AkaCorleone with the “Temple of Sound” installation, which occupied the entire main stage of the venue, a collaborative workshop with emerging artist Madalena Pequito, and a pop-up Underdogs space especially dedicated to original artist editions.
An invitation by real estate developer VIC Properties to intervene in the new Prata Riverside Village residential complex.
A site-specific and open-air exhibition with interventions by artists Guga Liuzzi, Jorge Charrua and Maria Imaginário, who transformed fences – which are usually used to conceal construction – into creative indicators of the change and transformation taking place.

Conceived by Underdogs and developed in partnership with the Institut Français, the public art project (No) Borders promoted a creative coming together between four Portuguese artists and four French artists, leading to the creation of public art interventions in four sister cities across Portugal and France.

A special programme by Cultural Affairs, with workshops, talks, informal tours, performances and screenings, emerging from the exhibition curated by Alexandre Farto, António Brito Guterres and Carla Cardoso, which affirmed different expressions of urban culture, exploring Lisbon's narrative itineraries in a conversation that prioritised the museum as a critical space where various communities and sensibilities come together.
A large-scale installation conceived by Vhils for the headquarters of the Council of the European Union in Brussels with the participation of Underdogs, to mark the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, held in the first half of 2021.
