The Group · Eterno

Digital art, made physical.

A phygital gallery in Marvila — where the group's urban-archaeology vocabulary meets generative, blockchain and AI art. One question: can art ever be eternal?

Vhils — LAYERS · Threshold, the inaugural show · Eterno Gallery, Marvila · 2025 · Eterno Gallery

A physical object bound to a digital twin. Eterno curates, produces and shows hybrid works — canvas, copper plate, lightbox and print, each paired with its generative or on-chain counterpart. The gallery opened in Marvila in May 2025 with Vhils' Threshold; the platform grew from the Web3 project Ephemeral Ethernal, now rebranded Eterno.

Can art ever be eternal?

Eterno is the group's phygital gallery — grown from the Web3 platform Ephemeral Ethernal (2021), reopened as a two-floor physical gallery inside VIC Properties' Prata Riverside Village, Marvila, in May 2025.

The programme runs rotating solo and group shows that pair a physical install with projected, generative and on-chain works — from Vhils' inaugural Threshold to Botto's first comprehensive solo in Portugal, City Edges and the current Unpermissioned Self. Alongside the exhibitions, Eterno carries phygital editions and digital drops online. Open Tuesday to Saturday, Prata Riverside Village, Marvila, Lisbon.

On the NFC circuit

Eterno programmes inside the orbit of Lisbon's NonFungible Conference (NFC Summit) — a partnership delivered in 2025 and carried into 2026.

In June 2026: Parallel Terrains — Vhils and Boldtron, a three-day off-site phygital show on the NFC circuit (4–6 Jun); the opening of Unpermissioned Self: Proof of Being ran as NFC programming; and a byteGAN drop with the AI-painting-robot pioneer Pindar Van Arman on the gallery's channels.
