The model
Cultural Affairs is not a conventional holding company. It is a collective: five platforms, each running its own programme, over one shared spine of production, curation, legal and logistics — around fifty people, based in Lisbon. Because production, permits and delivery are shared, a commission signed in Paris, Giza or Brussels is carried out by the same team that carved the first Lisbon walls, and one conversation reaches all five platforms.

The core practice — permanent commissions, museum exhibitions, research and editions, from the studio to the world. Carving since 2005.
Gallery, public-art programme and editions house in Marvila — co-founded with curator Pauline Foessel.

The urban-culture festival — one of the few festivals of its scale conceived and curated by a visual artist. Ten years old in September 2026.
The phygital gallery — digital, generative and AI art with physical editions, across two floors in Marvila.
Contemporary azulejo by artists — Patterns, Editions and Masterpieces, handcrafted in Portugal.
